And yes, I've been working on stuff every day in the background that may or may not be noticed.

I'm on a huge learning curve with the new system, but I can learn anything so it's going quickly.

Hey SuperJETT - A few IL locals had just recently started a riding group called Chicago Area Riders in response to a thread that popped up with a new Chicago rider (http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/hi-newbie-from-chicago.142435/page-2#post-1550895) and we had some contact information shared/posted from the 10 person group as well as some photos but I can't seem to find the group anymore in all 18 pages of the group listings.

Google is finding the old cached reference but I can't get a re-direct going to the page (https://www.google.com/search?q=chicago area riders xh2o site:www.x-h2o.com&espv=210&es_sm=93#es_sm=93&espv=210&q=chicago area riders site:www.x-h2o.com)

Here is the now broken, but direct link I was sharing with others to join if it helps at all: http://www.x-h2o.com/group.php?groupid=41

Any hints on how I can relocate the page?

Groups did not import and will have to be redone as a thread or forum.

I'll look into some other options too.

It would be nice if past links and google search links from threads created before the switch worked properly. Not being able to use old bookmarks and google to search for content is less than desirable.

I don't know if this had been said but the fact that NONE of the links that were created before the switch works SUCKS!!! Can't use old bookmarks, can't use google search, is there any way to fix this?
For now just use the search function on the site until google can get everything reindexed. You can make new bookmarks for the new oages and delete the old ones.

How would the google search links get re-indexed to old threads?

Blegh, google is much easier to search with, what a PITA to go through all my old bookmarks, then search for those threads, then re-path the bookmarks. How would the google search links get re-indexed to old threads?

Google goes through and takes the old link, finds the thread and gives the thread a new link in their search database. @SuperJETT has been giving us updates to as yow far they have gotten. Wait a a week or so and it shoild all be caught up and you can use google again

@SuperJETT Great job with the site!!! I think we are all thankful for having this site. With out it there would be a lot of people lost roaming the WWW.

Not sure if your working on it or not. But one thing i miss (about the only thing) from the old server is the Thread titles used to only be BOLD if there was recent activity in the thread since your last activity on the site. Would be cool to me if it were like that again. But def not complaining and if it cant be done or everyone else doesnt want it just discard me.

@yamanube Like the other guys bitching about problems, I refer you to this post to clear things up: http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/welcome-to-the-future.143561/page-4#post-1550541

Now, if you want to help me figure out the problem, you can give some specifics because I got the link rewriting fixed a day or two ago. Post one of your links that do not work because they work for me. www.x-h2o.com/threads/140220-Msd is an old link and it redirects to the proper thread here http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/msd.140220/

I apologize, I edited my previous post to remove bitching. I haven't looked at my bookmarks in a couple days so, as you said, that should be fixed, but the google search is still not working, but I think that question was already answered as well.

Now, if you hit New Posts, it will show all new *unread* posts then a marker where everything below that is old unread posts unless you hit Mark Forums Read. You don't have to mark everything read if you don't want to. I actually like how this is setup better than vbulletin, I think it's more logical.
