I am not saying fix ,but it sure was some foreign math equation to me to tally points.but also consider i am pissed about my recent events so don't pay attention to my ramblings about this .cough cough 08hard to call it a fix or politics given the variety of judges.
Classic .kind of sums it up.
Freestyle is going to be intense this year
21 Amateurs
25-30 Pros
Freestyle tech yesterday had almost 40 skis, probably 10 Japanese riders here, 1 of them is a woman.
Lee Stone is on a mission with his new hull, doing combos so long the fuel lines run dry. Roks been going big with his combos too. This will definitely be a year worth watching!
can some body post links to the full routines when they are up?
Everybody is forgetting that the judging is pure opinion.

X2 Please
Everybody is forgetting that the judging is pure opinion.
Curious, H, and not calling you out on this or anything, but if those "opinions" the judges have are the "end-all-be-all" decisions that add up to the final scores, then to what amount of relevancy is it as far as making a difference?
They're the judges and their scores are what determine the placing. Easy enough?
And sooooo subjective.
Imagine if you and I were in a booth, side by side, judging freestyle comp. Only one of us would walk away alive and we are friends! lol
The whole scoring thing is way to subjective and there really is not a better way to do it than wha they do.
May 14, 2012:
Fresh off the press are Aquabike rule changes for 2012.
When it comes to freestyle judging the changes are quite radical and they appear to be geared toward curbing potential judges' bias and making it easier for competitors to weigh the importance of each part of their routine.
Before we look at the details it is worth noting that Aquabike already has a 3-minute routine rule, as opposed to the more classic 2-minute.
XJETSKI.com has simplified some of the language from its original form, so in a nut shell, the main changes are as follows:
1. Minimum of 5 judges.
2. From a total of 100 points:
- 1 point per executed trick, for a maximum of 35 points
- Variety of tricks:
Aerials: 5 points for every different trick
On water: 2 points for every different trick
For a maximum of 35 points
- Maximum 30 points will be given by the judges for the quality of execution, innovation and presentation.
3. The highest and the lowest score will be automatically eliminated, effectively eliminating two judges' scores and thus eliminating potential favorable/unfavorable treatment.
4. In case a trick is not finished, or if rider falls into the water not holding his jetski he will get 0 points for that trick.
5. The judges may unanimously decide to allocate 10 extra points to the freestyler that performs a particularly spectacular or new routine.

The recorded stuff is still taking forever to load. Just happy for FB videos uploaded from those that are there or I still wouldn't have seen it.
