Great to see you ride Lucas, you did Awesome Dude. Tanner had issues with gas also he didnt know he couldnt run C12 until two day's before competition and had a :):):):) load of work to get it tuned also. Fortunatley he had help from Hiro, Pat and Rickter crew. Congrat's to all of the rider's. And for those of you that have never seen this in person you should put it on your list it's unreal.

you can't use leaded fuel at WF? The sunoco 110 race gas I mix with is leaded, didn't think it was a huge deal in competition vehicles?

19.4 FUEL TESTS
19.4.1 A rider’s statements as to the contents of his/her personal watercraft’s fuel system will be binding. Gasoline is tested and certified at IJSBA or IJSBA-affiliate events through the application of various chemical analyzes as considered appropriate by Fuel Check personnel. Gasoline may be checked before and/or after use in competition.
19.4.2 Aerosol cans of ether will be allowed for starting purposes.
19.4.3 Engine fuel must consist of unleaded gasoline only. “Gasoline,” for the purpose of this Rule Book, is defined as a mixture of hydrocarbons and oxygen bearing compounds with the following clarifications:
1) Oxygen content must not increase the specific energy of the gasoline.
2) Oxygen content must not exceed 3.7% by weight.
3) Oxygen content must have been blended in by the refiner or the fuel manufacturer.
4) Specific gravity must be between: .715 - .770 at 60°F (15°C).
5) The only allowable oxygenates are ethers and alcohols. Epoxides (e.g., propylene oxide) will not be considered ethers. Nitrogen-bearing compounds are not allowed.
NOTE: Most commercially-produced unleaded fuels and oils will meet these criteria. However some may contain additional additives which do not to meet these criteria.

The Ride and Grind videos are now up for all you pervs. They have been combined into two clips - part 1 and part 2.

The Pro qual and Pro main vids now have the riders names in the title. Since the scoring was 1/3 of the points from qual and 2/3 from main you can judge for yourself. A picture of the scores is attached.

im still having trouble seeing how rok scored higher on sunday than sat? does it seem to anyone else that he did more sat? add to that the 10 second stall on sunday.

Not taking anything away from his runs, it just seems like sat was jamb packed tricks and aside from the first 2 tricks on sunday it was a repeat of the same tricks from sat but less of them? what am I missing?

The scores are relative to the other riders during that day. If they set a score for rider A at ## points and rider B comes along and does better (in their opinion) they have to give more points to rider B. Even thought the same run the previous day may have scored less (or more) points.

If they did a strict scoring "schedule" like they do in certain Olympic sports, it would be all laid out and make for more consistent judging. Maybe someday.

Interesting points on the fuel testing (or lack thereof). Maybe some guys ran race gas knowing they would not be tested? But, kinda surprising that some of the competitors did not know this in advance.

My home away from home.
The fuel knowledge thing sounds like a bummer. On the winner topic for me. I thought Rok brought just a tad more creativity and innovation than Lee did, but they both friggin tore it up and had solid runs. I'm still blown away with the differences in routines from last year to this year. Even my wife literally said, " Holy :):):):) that was awesome!" She said more than that, but...

Competitors are allowed to run race gas. Just no leaded gas

Living the dream.
If nobody is bothering to test fuel.. then they are effectively "allowing" competitors to run any fuel they like.

DK obviously knew this in advance. I wonder how many others did as well.

Thank you for the words guys, unfortunately I had a bit of problem with my ski, right before competing,

I had a bit of tuning problem in the beginning of the week, due a changing of fuel, and I had to re-pitch my prop and shiot load of tunningneed it
night before we changed nozzles and re pitch the prop, and in the morning around 11AM me and Brian went to test before my run
so everything was almost perfect, and i had a deep sub backflip and hydrolock the engine, and it busted the cylinder right off the cases, with less that a hour to start the competition, I rushed to shore and got the ski load up and we drove to Rick Roy house because the had way more tools and parts,
so me, Brian, Rick and Hiro tried to get my ski fixed, we end up having to put some studs in the cases due the stripped threads, but we couldn't reach for the pistons rings when we had the studs on, after all that was around 12:30.
So after was all messed up, I talked with ZAck POWERHOUSE and he offered me to ride his Circus boat which hits pretty good, but he ski were never it the the tech inspection I wasn't able to use,

after all this Rick Roy saw me and Brian frustration and he offered me to ride one of his boats, so I decided to go for it, remember that was my second time on a Xfs, first time was in JAnuary in Daytona. I didnt even had a chance to test before the comp or warm up, that was it.

I'm really sorry to all to all my sponsors I didn't have any time or sticker to put on the ski I competed,

You made the most of a bad situation.

Lucas worked very hard this year. Training and long, long hours to help design and build a new Competition hull and setup. Your routine on borrowed setup was super impressive, but many of us have already seen what you are capable of on your superfreak/thrust setup and hoped to see you at your potential. Next year...
