*farts while moaning* I still think the best wave riding hull is a pig, water logged superjet. Im not talking ariels just playing on waves.
Look up the brigantine guys on youtube. They make riding superjets and fx-1's an art. For surf ariels sure its easier on an a/m

I definitely agree with this. In smooth surf, the -4.3 are a blast and will slide around in a fun way on the face and lip. They definitely land extra hard if you flatland from some height on a flip, you have to learn how to nose in the landing to be spared.

Brian Virgin once told me at Daytona that his choice for a surf ski would be like a CARBON Superfreak/Titan with a nice ported 701 in it.

Free ride is surf. West coast and East coast surf are 2 completely different things. The wave regularly hit 15ft+ here during season. If your ski pearls on a 10ft wave. Your day of riding is over thats for sure. And it might be gone for good.
Superjets have their place. But to say one can handle surf like a hull with a lid hood, that breathes through the pole, that is epoxy layup, and specifically designed for surf riding, sounds like being a hater to me. Like saying a mustang is the same as a gt40
