Yeah the sides of the channel are puck board, which I think is umhw, and the ends have 3/4" bolts with 3/4" PVC pipe on them for rollers. The only problem is that it still binds on the way down, I will add another roller higher up on the back side so that the carrier stays more horizontal all the time.

The working end result, works really well! Now to build the second one, I plan to lift 2 skis, and store 2 underneath them in the carts.

I always use ground unicorn powder. Surprisingly, works well for pretty much anything.

you plan to let that cable support all the weight or are you going to install a keeper pin to take the load.

Done, nice when things work out without too many redos! I used 3/4" bolts for keeper pins. Thinking about buying another winch and leaving them both in place, kind of a hassle to remove the winch from above the 750sx, convenience is supposed to be the key here! Balance of the ski on the bunks is critical for going up and down or I get some binding. Lots of room for the other 2 skis on carts beneath these 2. May have to throw a strap around them or something.

The bottom of the 750 must be higher than 6'2", because I can walk under it no problem, the other one is at a height where you notice it, have not run into it yet, and it will be better when I get two more skis underneath so you wont walk there at all.

So I've been wanting to finally work on Fabbing up my flat bed trailer for the skis, but I wanted it to be easy and versatile trailer. Ski trailer one minute utility trailer the next. So this is what I built. And just an FYI it's been over 7 years since I've welded aluminum so im a little rusty at it hahaha

I think it turned out to be pretty good. The last set of rollers are pinned so you can remove them so that the ramp will go all the way down. All hardware is wired to the framing so you will never lose it during the transformation between ski trailer and utility. Front bow stop assy. Has 4 spring loaded pins to keep it in place

Just finished up a batch of tow ropes for our crew headed to Daytona. Using the strap on your life jacket, these flashlight holders work perfect. You can have your tow strap out in seconds. (Not that we ever need them) Hahaha

Prairiedawg, are those lolly columns concrete filled? Keep an eye on them. They're not usually made to support lateral force. I don't think you'll have an issue, but if they buckle.......... (and I think your is kid peeing in the 2nd pic of your last post.)

Haha, the boy is riding a scooter that is too small, not taking a leak! The columns are 4" 1/4" wall tubing, lots of strength there! They are bolted to the I beam above and concreted in the floor with a pile underneath, plus it has q deck and concrete on top, if my skis bend them I'm I deep trouble, this ceiling is my garage floor up top

After way to long planning and fabbing I finally got the electric race kart out for a test run.

Swapped sprockets out and hit 38 screaming mph with a minimal loss of torque. Not bad for 1hp and r/c batteries. Going to shoot for 50mph next.

solid stock trim "diy" used a choke lever and a old 650sx aftermarket throttle lever and a little grinding, works better than the aftermarket units I've used.also got my cable from OSH. ordered the housing on eBay, 50 feet 25 bux.

Not really ski related, built a custom rack for in my garage to store a few things neatly, generator, wood splitter, floor Jack's etc. Also room for some Jerry cans. The only thing I screwed up is I measured a 20 liter Jerry can thinking it was a 25 liter.....oh well, the 25's still fit in the boathouse, lol.

Not a real fabrication but I added a flush port to my ski with a pisser fitting and a one way valve. Now I can just jam the end of the hose on the fitting while I am washing everything down. The fitting stays hidden under my hood.
