I'm guessing here, may be they have so much "throw" on there nozels that when extended, they need an extension to stop water from exiting from between pump and turn nozel

Saw that same pic on Facebook and was wondering the EXACT same thing. Looks sick!

I was thinking along the lines of what 227 said.

Isn't it a known problem with the fs2's that if you turn full left water bypasses the turn nozzle and shoots up the exhaust killing power. This would fix that problem.

X3... Looked out the back of my ski a few times and noticed water bypassing the turn nozzle. Not sure on the water shooting up the exhaust though...wouldn't it have to make a full 180 to up the exhaust?

its a problem with a FR2 as well?

xfr/xfs I have personally seen.....

my FS1 didnt have any problems of the sort........

thats exactly what that thing is though.....prevents water from bypassing the nozzle due to the cutouts made for maximum throw

Yea this is a new product will be coming available from RRP-Rickter . You guys are onto it . with the new hulls with so much pump exposed to the water flow and no ride plate below it . it is causing pump flow problems such as left turn syndrom so forth . this is why it is only noticed on short hulls with pump exposed like xfs, bob, eme arial 8 so forth . this keeps water flow in the pump mostly durings turns and also keeps out waterflow flow from below the hull as it rises up to the pump after the ride plate .
look for it coming soon for thrust ezpull trim systems .
