what is the best motor mount

You're gonna laugh but we actually DID epoxy one of Stricks shafts together.... The splines were very questionable so we degreased it and epoxied it knowing it could last 5 minutes.... Put it this way ~ the epoxy outlived his hull and we had to die grind the prop shaft when it came time to replace the hull.
I think it was 2-3 years ???

unreal wow ! I think super glue might work for a day on the top plate of motor mounts when they tear off....amazing stuff !

I found 4 brand new WSM mounts in the parts cabinet in my garage.

i think they are for waverunner 500 and wavreunner III.

think these would work?(aside from the fact that they are WSM)

i am running legdrag/wammer mounts have had the same mounts in my boat for over a year and beleive me i have been coming up short on flips and rolls all year and have broken the nose of my ski twice and still no broken mounts
i can live with the extra vibrations if my mounts last that long

would definatly like to see a pic of the sj and gp mount side by side i was sure a thread started by superramjet stated that you needed to machine the bottom of the mount

X2 on the Monkey Grips, I have put my ski through the same abuse with four good mounts still.

For Me its Monkey Grips and Kenney keepers.... Broken mounts SUCK!

You guys sound like sissys complaining about a little vibration. (that I have never noticed.... Like rotax said may want to check alighnment.

i wish they were OEM i would use them...

i really dont even want to waste the time putting WSM mounts in.
im okay with some wsm parts but not mounts.

keep them around for spares. if you're in a pinch they're better than a broken mount.

thats what i was going to do with the two usable carb side mounts in my ski now. they will get me through a weekend of riding if need be while i wait for new ones.

I wonder where Wamiltons gets their mounts from. I wouldn't think there is but one manufacture of the mounts its an expensive process.

it's more fun to speculate.

for anyone who wants to give it a go, I've got studs and eye hooks to replcae half of your motor mount bolts. throw in some ratchet straps and you aren't breaking mounts.

i have some raider mounts and they are higher then the stock sj mounts.
oh and stock is the way to go.
