what is the best performing and lasting reed

well trying the vf2 on the boyesen will be a nice test for their durability then.while responce is huge,I believe flow for a purpose is key as well.you see all these custom, grinded and epoxied intakes to flow a specific cfm and cases ported to match that cfm,I would think the flow through the cages to be pretty crucial.vf3s address that with a few diff stuffers to choose from based on purpose.
recently ive ridden some spec class racing skis with stock motors with great carbs, reeds, cages, intakes, opened exhaust manis and head pipes and nothing more and been really surprized with the results you can obtain. Its all about the flow. Ive read alot of gordons stuff, but at the time of the writing reeds were just coming out and he wasnt really sure on them.obviously much has changed since then.expand a little on this 2nd reed opening your talking about

yes.....awesome!

we will see how this custom set works out, props to boyesen
