on the way to nj with winter x2 last year some kids pull up and ask... " are those racing skis?" reply no " are they fast? " yeah they do 100 mph " holy man thats badass ... LOL damn kids

It's funny when about 30% of couch riders will watch you doing tricks and having fun, then they'll try to do some tricks which of course is worthless, then they fly away at top speed. I wonder how many think "maybe I'm ready for a big boy watercraft." and go buy a standup.

So true, i would ride around in my 550 jumping and spinning all i could last summer and lots of couches would watch then zip away. By the end of the summer i saw two or three kids trying get off their knees. Of course those rich kids get a brand new sxr before they can even stand on it, and im putting around in my 550 standing proudly though

I get the "WTF is that? did you make it?" alot with the X2. And of course the usual "how hard is that to ride?". And Love when the couches ride by and start trying to do the same stuff I'm doing, and think its badass when they get like a foot of air off a boat wake.

I hate to do this because I know it's not ski related, but I can't resist lol. I was at Niagara Falls one year and watched a moron taking pictures of the Harleys that belonged to the outlaws. Then he grabs his kid, puts the kid on the biggest, baddest hog there, puts the outlaw's helmet on the kid and gets ready to take pics!:shocked:Sure enough the outlaw guy was right there within a few seconds and freaked out. Was he ever MAD lol, I said to my friend, let's get out of here right now lol. Couldn't believe what I was watching. :eek5:

The best question ever was when I was idling around the ramp on the X2, waiting for hubby to pull the trailer into the water, and after watching me for about 5 minutes, a watercop walks to the end of the ramp and says, "Is that thing sinking? Do you need help?"

That was one quick cop.

The best is when a guy with an XPL, Raider or any other small 2 seater asks me "Do they Still make those?"
Then I reply "Yeah it's a 2008, what year is yours? Do they still make them?"

Old thread but anyways the a few weeks ago i was at the local ramp trying to get my rebuilt ski started and some guy from a local dirt bike and ski shop was there and asked me if i needed help and i of course politely denied because i knew i was fully capable and have built a few motors and they all ran and started fine. Well after a bit of messing around with it its not getting any spark but i guess he doesnt know that and he walks back up to me and tells me to cover up the breather hole on the outside, to get it some gas and fire it up. Great advice except he pointed out the fcuking bilge outlet :banghead:

Just about a week ago I pull up to a restaurant after my ride with the ski in tow. Two kids around 10 yrs old with skateboards are in the parking lot and see my ski and say “Oh dude those are bad a$$. Aren’t those the ones that are REALLY HARD TO RIDE? I’m thinking to myself, If theses kids who can ride a skateboard have been conditioned by there parents to think these are hard to ride then no wonder our sport is doomed!
