The freestyle section over there was the place to be and had the most post/views until Darin built X-h2o and all they cool people followed. I am the 17th member over there out of over 30,000... Whoopdy doo!!!!

I noticed that the racing section just finally surpassed the freestyle section for post/views. The freestyle section over there is so stagnant anymore, its pathetic.

A bunch of people started this CCC or "cupcake cult" or something and it seems like they just go around spewing random, useless, crap everywhere. Not the same site as it was a couple years ago.

I get on there to see vintage ski stuff, my bro has a 550 so its cool to read up and to check the sale section since a good 90 percent of this one is all Yamaha stuff. Not that im complaining.

It just seems like two different crowds. Over there you got someone asking how they can get more performance out of their 38 BN carb on their 1985 440 and you have 20 different people telling them all this random info.
Here we have top people in the sport coming on here talking about building 16mm strokers. More diehard over here I guess.

It has changed. I am like the 11th to sign up, but that was after Rob wiped the database and started everything over.

Yes, it has changed. I go there for the racing section only.

I think we are just spoiled over here. Although controversial at times, the ban hammers have kept the peace over here quite well. The drama threads and posters have slowly been weeded out to the point where they don't even bother.

The fact that the recent thread, "Liberalism, atheism, male sexual exclusivity linked to IQ", has been able to reach 13 pages and still remain a civil thread is impressive in itself and proof that the attitude has changed.

I may not always agree with the moderation style but I have to respect the community that they are trying to create. Jett and his happy band of Mods do a great job to keep this a family and newbie friendly site where we can all express ourselves openly and respectfully and I think they don't get near the credit they deserve for accomplishing this.
