i need one that will actually float me,im afraid of getting knocked out and sinking in the jetpilot i wear right now...was wondering whick ones you guys wear

I have 2 from Helium...Great vests with side zips and buckles...

I actually got one for like $39.00 new(closeout).

I have a shiny black version of this SWAT too. It was around $100.00. Best vest I have ever owned.

I tried a bunch on and these fit me the best. I like a snug jacket that doesn't ride up and these seem to do the trick. It's very well made and will not snag on the ski if u do hood tricks.

The swat looks awesome too. Both are USCG approved as well.

Helium makes wake vests that are not USCG approved that look really cool as well. I was told that they were going out of business or merging with another company but that was like 2 years ago. I am not sure of their status although I found some of their vests still for sale.

does it get heavy when it's wet? I've been looking at these, and other neoprene vests, but I'm used to my JP side entry vest and was not sure if the neoprene absorbs water and makes it heavier.

thanks
i dont think its heavy. just like a wet suit. i love that vest on cold rides it helps keep you warm and when you are floating around it does not work up on your neck good vest you should buy one

I've had a side entry helium 30$ closeout. Two years of abuse and it still floats me nice.

Cga vests only if you are in the water

I run the helium swat x3 years...yeah it's heavy when wet but it's always comfy. My boy waternut uses a kayak vest and it's light as crap and floats him well and zero restriction. prolly a couple pounds lighter when they're both wet.

cool, thanks for the info... I've had side entry nylon vests for years... but I always like the look of the neoprene vests... sleeker. I will likely buy one of these.

I have a jet pilot A-10 comp vest. It is very very comfortable and I got it for 40 bucks. but the down side is it doesn't float me (non cga approved) so I am looking to buy another new vest this year.
