What ski is right for me?? I have 10,000 to spend!

My hull (90lb+14lb hood) goes 48MPH at 718cc/195psi/bpipe@50mm/stock pump Solas 13/16-3mm prop and 85mm exit nozzle. It hits hard and still has me smiling BIG but I would like to feel it 27lbs lighter on Lake Erie!

Korns SXR 800 powered Trinity (light SXR) feels 100% identical to my ski....we have switched and can barely tell the difference.

I would say his quality is better than mine but now WDK does not use aluminum motor mount plates glued to the hull and that is/was my only issue.

Both hulls are killer.

Used SXR with 1100 motors in them sell for about $8000ish. I think 1200 SXRs go for... $12000?

My understanding is if you want to race you need to go SXR, bullet, trinity or hydrospace. There is a superjet option from trinity designed for a 1200 motor I believe.

mthomps would have a savage ski if he had 10 k to dispense haha. an 1100 short block from the big motor builders is like 5k, you can get a powerfactor and a sick dual novi carb setup for under 10k total.

Also I like a wide tray. How wide are these trays over stock. 4k for the hull isnt bad at all. bullet wants 7k but they are 3 inches wider in the front and 2 inches in the back making it vert stable.

Anyone have a stock length envy for sale?

Light SXR's are wide like SXR and handle like SXR's but launch off of waves and boat wakes way better! They have a wide tray like a SXR of course...but I think almost all of the AM hulls have wide trays now....go to VB!

3 steps. By this...http://saginaw.craigslist.org/boa/4383254705.html

Now buy this. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?thre...e-for-the-rn-sn-tubbies-front-sponsons.49648/

NOW.....the fun part. Take that other 9,000 dollars to an engine builder and buy the most ridiculously powerful set up you can get!

Just one idea.

I think buying a Superjet to race or go 60mph is a horrible idea, especially a square. I enjoy racing my Superjet but its nothing like the SXRs. Yeah, I could get hull extensions and etc to set it up for race, but if that were the goal, then I would just get a sxr. My Superjet is a great rec (surf, flat and race) boat but it's the wrong ski for racing. Yes, they can be fast, but you have to be a better rider with more endurance to make it happen. It really sucks when you can't make a pass on a lesser rider because they have a better ski.

Only thing better for going fast on a lake than an SXR is a lightweight SXR with a stout motor. A trinity hull will shave off something like 85 lbs from the weight of a stock SXR and will rip, jump and carve.

How do these light weight hulls handle at high speeds? I know the engine I choose will get the speed but how about turnig and stabiltiy at 50 plus?
These are aftermarket Race Hulls (Trinity Vector), they are designed to handle high speeds, as in 65 mph.........
