What steering system to buy??

Time to update steering systems and want something smooth and low maintenance. I don't want OVP steering because I can't afford to lose pole length with my back. I saw the system from Thrust and from ATP that look like huge improvements over systems of the past. Anything else I should look at?

I have been running the ADA Steering. Works really good.

Chad, my vote is for Cold Fusion. Simple, smooth, and best of all the body of the bar-clamp part is rounded with no sharp edges (nearest your knees and thighs). safe

Did you ever make a bushing kit for the ADA?

Check out the Waterdawg steering, very nice setup, simple and smooth. I have been a bushing steering user forever (cold fusion was my favorite) but this is a sweet piece.

Last time I tried to contact Waterdawg I never heard back, but I agree that always looked really nice.

I have a season on my thrust steering system. I have grown to like it a lot. I have another ski with blowsion ovp and Im fond of both setups equally.

Thrust all the way. It's super smooth and looks great. Bolted right up to my xmetal pole no problem

That's different that the one I saw on their web site. The one on the site was adjustable......

This is the newest steering it's the shorty it's under the new parts section on thrusts page. The one your talking about is the first version which was adjustable. I didn't really see a need for it to be adjustable when you can just adjust the bars but I believe with the adjustable you could make your pole longer by like an inch if adjusted it right. Either one is great tho

I had a -3 pole with umi 0* bars, went to jetlabs ovp with a straight bar. Thats like 2-4 inches shorter than i was. I have some legit back issues and felt right at home right away. The ski was much more stable with the weight up front and theres less leverage on the spring so the pole is lighter. I wouldnt have gotten an ovp for the reasons you said but i won mine in a raffle and was surprised to find my back feels no worse than when i had the umi.

I was going to order the Thrust mini but was not in stock. So I went with the universal blowsion ovp. Haven't gotten it yet but have ridden the blowsion ovp on the blowsion pole. I liked it a lot.
