What tools do you bring to the Beach?

Yeah I am with you, no way I am pulling a flywheel at the beach. It might be different if you have to travel far to hit the water though, I am only 5 minutes away.
Well the amount of work willing to do at the beach all depends on how far the drive was. But I always load up my trailer the same way.

i have a small waterproof box that i put my tools in.. just put the sockets and wrenches i need.. i live an hr from the closest body of water to me so i will bring enough tools to make a repair depending on what it is.. depending on where i am and how long im there will determine if i dig into something... luckily only problems ive had have always been small.. never had to pull a flywheel or engine on the water...fortunately these skis are easy to wrench on and dont require a lot of tools to dissassemble

I have a Rubbermaid tub that I keep most of my spare parts in and it goes everywhere when I ride. Then I have my mobile two drawer toolbox that comes. It has everything to get the job done, but may not be as efficient as my big box at home.

Day/Night before:
Trickle charge battery
Check hose clamps and zip ties
Hit everything within reach with a torque wrench
Check bilge pump
Make sure ski starts and idles for a few seconds

Bring with me:
zip ties
Flat and Philips screw drivers
extra hose clamps
metric wrench set
set of 3/8 drive metric sockets, one 9/16 deep socket for ada head girdle nuts...
My tire iron for the trailer is 13/16 so I use this for my plugs when needed.
Extra plugs
Starting fluid
Spare tire for trailer

I honestly take one - two spare everythings. The only thing I dont take in the trailer is a spare pole, shortblock, and hull. Whatever you dont bring your gunna break. A few key items are...

Every single electronic piece made
a full stainless metric nut and bolt set
a large variety of jets
spare carbs
a hottub when its cold
and every tool known to man.

These are just my recommendations. Everyone hates making a trip to town unless its a liquor run.

So, waiting on some last minute parts and for some local water to thaw and thought of seeing what everyone brings to the beach tool wise? I'd like to get a compact toolbox with only the necessities for the beach but can't seem to narrow anything down? Maybe some veterans can chime in, or maybe they've learned the beach is for riding.... We'll see.

I have had several toolboxes but my current one is my favorite. Its from home depot $30.

I carry metric wrenches and sockets,
allen keys
multi tip screw driver that has allens, 5 sizes of flats, 4 sizes phillips, etc
side wratching screw driver also home depot, small and compact great for tunjng
spare plugs, plug wrenchm gap tool
zip ties,
assorted wire connectors, strippers and cutters
plyers
adjustable wrench
small waterproof box for putting lose parts jn or what not
dielectric grease, locktiht and antiseize
all fits kn the abive box

I also have a tuning kit, that is jets and other carb parts, mikuni manual, popoff gauge and wd40 for days i need that.

And i have my spare bolts in crystal light containers because they fit nicely in the cabinet and i can grab as needed.

I believe it's a "husky technicians toolbox"

The big yellow screw driver next to the adjustable wrench is ground and notched for installing tank straps.

I also usually have one of these. It fits right over my sockets, but it Ryan's carb parts in it so I left it with him.

Tuning kit only when needed.

I like the 5 gallon home depot buckets with the tool bags in them. They work well for holding tools/oil and also make for a great seat!

I've come to the conclusion that regardless of how many tools I lug with me, im always missing something!
