I just bought and installed the Xmetal - 3.5 turnplate on stock pole but want(need) a new pole and am gonna order Monday so I was hoping I could get a little advice? Mostly flatwater freestyle with a little surf when lake Michigan grants me it. I also weigh 230 and am 6'- bodybuilder so I have a tendency to wreck poles easy:(. Thanks for any help guys!:)

xmw for the sexy style and forever warranty if it breaks. Tru faberication.

RRP's look like they took the easy way out. They match there chit look with a chit warranty.

Its a no brainier

The thing about the XMetal pole is that it is not exactly lightweight. But, it is one tough mo' fo' and you can get better service than Pat provides.

I think from what i've read it's right around the same as a stocker - what about spring for pole? do i need a new one or mod bracket?

And it's waaaay heavier than a stocker (RN). When you run an aftermarket pole you'll normally run two bolts at the base - one each side. Crank those suckers down tight till the pole feels very stiff (especially on dry land - the water lubricates it and makes it feel looser). It feels a bit weird to start with but when you are used to it you will absolutely hate riding with a loose pole. Also, any no-handed tricks absolutely require the pole to stay where you left it and not flop around on a spring.

Thanks again for the info- I've got my stocker cranked tight so it barely moves now so I'm pretty sure that the x pole will feel the same way then? And does anyone know if they stock them or is it a waiting game to get em? My friend waited 10 weeks for an AC pole for his sxr- missed tons of riding:(

I ordered one recently, couple weeks ago, and had it within a week. However they did inform me that they were a couple weeks out on the pole bracket if you need that, but I already had the bracket/bolts. Very happy with it.

both great pole and xmetal stands behind there product , but one feature i like the rrp you can adjust unlimited and if you want to change tube length you can go longer or shorter for all the new hull designs out there .either way you will be happy
check us out for the rrp if you go that route .

So, why does it seem like everyone has bad things to say about the rrp. I am also debating which one to get and leaning twards the rrp. I ride flat water. Are they known to break, or are they just not built as well. At first i was under the assumption that the rrp was top notch. And why does it seem like no one likes the looks of the rrp?
