Whats the deal with prices on used b-pipes???

you do not have to order the hardware from FPP........ you can pick most up locally.......... as far as the 3 headpipe bolts, just find some lower case bolts from a Yamaha motor, they are stainless and not zinc like the FPP ones, or order the Diddy Bolt!

The used pipe that sold for 476 shipped is still going to cost over $500 regardless of whether you buy FP hardware or aftermarket hardware, hoses, and clamps.

I have owned 2 b-pipes. Right now I only have one on my blaster and I'm about to order one for my sj. I'm not questioning them being worth what they sell for. All I am saying is that I if I'm going to have to spend 500 for a used pipe when it's all said and done then I'll spend the extra $105 to buy a new one.

Just my opinion. Personally I don't think its worth it to have to deal with a used pipe and only save $100.

Get back to us after you actually pay for it, and let us know how much it was and how long you waited to get it.

Seriously, $605 is an old price. Good luck.

yes i have shopped.. factory pipe doesn't give deals to anyone any more..

I think your looking at a old price.. I could be wrong but...

Can anyone get a break from factory pipe ? (other than a top pro rider )

I'm just going by what I found on a parts website. It could be an old price, but if someone advertises a price I expect them to honor that price especially when you can use the Add to Cart option and proceed to checkout and have your credit card charged for that amount plus shipping.

False advertising is a serious thing.

I'm sorry I just checked again and the price is actually 609 for a limited and 575 for a mod pipe.

I mean I could be wrong, but it's a reputable site and I expect them to honor prices they advertise. I'm sorry, but I was wrong about the price. It's actually 609 for a limited and 575 for a mod.

I'm not going to hold out on what site it is. I just don't want the prices to get over inflated kind of like what Nikad58 was talking about when he was telling us about his shipping company.

PM me if you're looking for a new b-pipe and you want to know what site I found that price on.

Yamaha bolts are chrome plated steel. Not stainless.

as far as the production of the pipes and supply and demand.... FP makes "runs" of certain pipes every now and then- like many manufacturing co.- prolly based on demand. If they're currently out and you still want one... call them and get your name on the waiting list and after they make a run they'll give you call to notify. It could be next month or next year... all depending on their schedule.

I think the reason they go used for so much is simple. People will still buy it. Case in point, that TNT chamber that sold for like $1000 last year.... yeah. Exactly. People are crazy

Best of luck with them actually having it in stock!

Many sites still have them advertised, but no longer sell them at this price, nor can get them in stock. Due to the fact that factorypipe no longer provides dealer pricing, they are now a buy-direct company.

I personally think that they work as well, or better than stainless. They certainly can take more torque (than most commercially-available grades of stainless) and I believe that the chrome plating reacts less with aluminum than does stainless.
