haha we have tossed that idea around. You should find a 550 hull and run the beast at least once just to say you did!
In this day and age of big motors and light hulls, it's not really something that will surprise you or catch you off guard. Will it blow the doors off of a stock 550? Sure, but a ported 61x will put it to shame. You should find a 550 hull and run the beast at least once just to say you did!
take it and run..............So far there has been an offer of 1k assuming the compression is good. My buddy is going back for a box of parts including the flywheel. He'll grab the compression this weekend.

I don't have a say. Not my engine. Just doing some homework for him since he doesn't belong to any forums or FB groups. In return I got a free rolling carttake it and run..............
You mean, if my buddy had a V8 on the stand and had to assemble a Pinto to put it in? Can't exactly throw that engine on the trailer and go ride it.A mid 2000's stock mustang would blow the doors off a v8 Pinto too, but which one would you rather drive for a day.
Nice find. I have my UPS and FedEx guys looking for old stand ups and x2s while out on their routes but all they come back with is junk. Hoping one day to score something good.

Same thing happened to me.Touche! But seems a waste to let something as rare as that engine and pipe go through your hands and not try it. Most likely never see another one.
