What's your view look like today?

My view today was spent working on a organic garlic farm, but I got to come home to this. Scored an original on eBay few days ago for a song. Couldn't be happier with it. Hard to find these original old tools without the high price tag anymore.

I get my hair cut in my home town which is roughly 30 mins from where I live now because I feel a good haircut is worth the money or the drive. On my way home I snapped a pic of some of my ol man's dirt. It won't be long and he'll be out here kicking up dust!

This is the first fall in 15 years I won't be bailing hay. Been working the same ground as my great grandparents since I could walk. I'm really missing it already.

I hear that, I don't spend near as much time out there as I used too. I hate living in a subdivision. Apparently growing up with hundreds of acres at my disposal spoiled me lol.

Me to lucky I'm not in a real subdivision. It kind of is but three of us own all the land. Not close or packed in. If it was up to me I would still be doing the hay but my fathers health is going and he isn't the type to sit there and watch me so we both had to give it up for his sake

That's too bad. My dad has talked to me a couple times trying to get me to take over but I never got into the actual work of it. Don't get me wrong I love getting my hands dirty but it never really interested me.

I wish my great grandfather hadn't given most of the land away. Started as one square mile and is down to 65 now. I would be a farmer in a heartbeat but lands to expensive now unless you have it to start with like you do n

The most modern equipment we used was the Bailer. Tractor is a 65 180 Massey and for sale now sadly.

By the time we had these conversations I had already gone to school and I was already working in an engineering environment. I debated doing it but he couldn't come close to paying me what I was making. On some days I want to say screw it and throw in the towel and do it lol

I would given the chance. Money won't make you happy. I love the engineering world as much as you I'm sure. But I'm happiest in the field.

Me and my old man run about a 1000 acres of farmland and woods. I wouldn't give it up from for anything.

Sat on the computer about a half hour after the old lady went to bed. Now both my old ladies are in the bed. Wtf!

Just saw a post where a coupe out a king and a full together for the dogs and cats and still had room lol.

Now that I have two I need a sectional couch. Two big dogs plus me doesn't work.
