Sold a few things on eBay this week so went ahead end got the machinist box I've wanted for 15 years now. I would have preferred the antique Gershwin but can't drop 500 on s fixer upper. Now that I'll have my own machines at home I went ahead and bite the bullet.
I actually sold a used pair of shoes that paid for this. They where limited edition Pumas, but not my size and the box will be used for years
I'll probably swap the black felt for green felt

Thanks. It's a cheaper one, but the good ones are in the 1000-2000 range just for the box.

Turbine overhaul. Not looking so good! Lots of wear and steam was going where it shouldn't have been. Sandblaster in today to clean it up. Tomorrow they bring in an X-ray guy to check if it's fixable. Might be time for a new one after 60 years.
This guy was really cool and held it for me until I could secure the funds at the bank. Not many people will do that for you anymore.
Me either. This has been my lucky week.
You bet I'm hoping by Sunday or Monday at the latest. I have so much work to do already.
