Ok you guys see only bad things about the pontoon on its side .I see both good and bad ..the bad is well we all know it's on its side but the good is the strap .I know it's not tyed to the trailer to hold it down but if u have ever owned a pontoon u know the back transom on the boat are thin ..I sold my pontoon to a friend and a year later we were in the water at the back of the boat and the welds on the transom were cracking and the only thing we could come up with is the motor bouncing up and down on the road .causing it to crack the welds the outdrive motors are heavy as heck.so a cheap way to fix it would strap it down from bouncing .good idea I will have to tell him about the strap but the right way would be a motor bar /yoke

It's really more caused by rotational force from an oversized motor... You're powering it from 2 feet below the mounts which means your lateral thrust line has 2 feet of rotational force on the transom... Same concept of a breaker bar on a bolt... What it might also be is hitting something with the motor in the down position causing force against the motor in the reverse direction...

As far as the picture goes... I have a pontoon with a center lift trailer like that I'm not a bit surprised he rolled it off... I live 3 miles from the ramp and use the trailer twice a year and get nervous both times... They're so unstable it's stupid to go any sort of distance with one... Buy a bunk trailer..
