Finishing up my "summer project" Dug out the old patio. Went out 10' wider. Poured a brown colored 30x20 exposed aggregate pad. Bought 1100 reclaimed brick from the 1840's (to match the house) Couldn't find a bricklayer. Watched a few you-tube videos, and did it myself. Now I shift gears and become a carpenter and build a 12x12 pergola.

Nice work, Mark! It looks great, and it's so well done I would have thought that this patio was originally built when the house was. What did you use for the caps on the bricks?

Thank you! The pillar/wall cap is all limestone. It was a bit pricier than I expected but I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Kind of my view but I was looking through some old photos and stumbled on these. This guy had recently been in a motorcycle accident in which he lost his leg. The wound was still fresh and he kept it wrapped in a nitrile glove. Wonder if he is still alive.

Spent most of the day chasing down ignition gremlins on this beast , 74 Honda MR50 with a weird ignition system , ignition source coil is AC , it runs to a half wave rectifier that spits out DC to power a DC coil.

Someone rebuilt the engine and had the resto done but couldn't get it to spark , I pulled the stator and fixed multirole issues there, should have it fired off tomorrow .
