When we bought our house it had been for closed on. I checked the plumbing it's all copper even the waste. I was shocked it hadn't been scrapped.

At least it didn't break and flood the joint like my buddy at work. Frozen pipe,boom.
Become friends with a plumber. The house I'm living in had clay pipe from the street into the house then cast. Replaced it all for less than 1500 with me doing the excavation which included sawing out the concrete on a covered porch and hand digging that 8 foot. I figured I saved probably 6 - 8k doing it myself with the help of a plumber buddy.

That's the plan tomorrow after work rubber toe. It's just me and the wife so easy to not use the plumbing.
That line is the washing machine, kitchen sink and dishwasher, the downward side of the y ties into the main shyt pipe. Everything else in the house ties in before that. So we just won't use the leaky ones until I fix it tomorrow after work.
