My view above is great...but my "virtual" view is even better. I am the proud uncle to a newborn niece!!! The hardest part about living far away from your family is times like these, so thank the lord for FaceTime! Cant wait to get back home and spoil them. (I already spoil my nephew, so its no different) Here is my nephew Cameron (14 months old) meeting his baby sister Claire for the first time.

Lathes mounted. Time to get to work now...

Looking good Alex!

How much for the Octane hood...? haha!

This picture of reduction pulleys and levers takes me back...My grandfather had a lot of that old craftsman wood working machinery.. I have the old catalogs he gave me. way cool to look at!

Short story..A former co-worker I know used to fab up contraptions all the time.. He got a used GETRAG 5 speed manual tranny out of the local classifieds, then mated it up to his lathe and a used a electric motor from a Hobart commercial food mixer...
-He also made a bio-diesel system way before it was trendy.. Took a 12v elec pump, Tapped heater lines off his 7.3 ford turbo diesel.. they teed into a small honda heater core inside a small pony keg.. preheating the bio diesel.. dude was a nut. I nicknamed him the astronaut farmer... I hope I did not just spark interest in a few people to try some crazy S** t like him.. haha Carry on Sprocket!

Haha, hood isn't for sale. Super light EME carbon hood, and I tore it up trying to learn rolls... Didn't open it up and reenforce it until it was already too late for the paint. Would be nice to refinish it some day...
All the pulleys are crazy, but that was the easiest way for them to change speeds back then.
