My view is much brighter today than it has been for a long time.

This past Sunday I blew one of the 200 watt incandescent bulbs I use to light my garage so I took the opportunity to upgrade to LED's. I only had 2 light fixtures at one end of the garage so I added 2 more ceiling outlets to better distribute the light and then inserted 4 - 19W (1650 Lumen) Daylight LED's. What a difference! The picture doesn't do it any justice.

Once I did the main lights in the daylight spectrum, I was forced to upgrade the garage door opener lights as well. All said and done, it cost me $95 but I went from a combined 520 Watts down to just 92 and easily have double the effective light coverage.

The other cool thing is that these bulbs are advertised to last 22+ years so when it comes time to move, I can just unscrew the bulbs and take them with me. No removal or leaving behind of costly fluorescent or LED fixtures.

Once I had done the main lights, and the garage door opener, I was forced to upgrade the spotlight in my Mill as well. :p

Dropped from a 75 Watt down to a 9 Watt Flood.

It wasn't exactly "dingy" before but it's just so much better now. You can really see how far the garage layout has progressed as well. This pic was taken maybe 2 months ago.

Is that LED or fluorescent? I have a 4ft fluorescent over my lathe and 2 - 18" units under my cabinets that I want to replace with LED now.

Grainger has a few options in the $40 range for the under cabinet lights but the 4 ft fixtures are still way too much $$.

My view today sucks. Nothing but rain and more rain. Taking the time to re line some rods and do some quoting, design and 3d printing.

Taking it apart it is just a tube with a string of LEDS inside. Was 32$

Today we had my sons first birthday party, so here's something you don't get to see a lot.

Here's 5 generations in one picture. My great grandma is bottom left she's almost 95 years old. I pushed her down around back to our patio where we had the party she turned up looked at me and said you need to roll your yard its too bumpy! She's got a bit of fight left!
