My view is much brighter today than it has been for a long time.
This past Sunday I blew one of the 200 watt incandescent bulbs I use to light my garage so I took the opportunity to upgrade to LED's. I only had 2 light fixtures at one end of the garage so I added 2 more ceiling outlets to better distribute the light and then inserted 4 - 19W (1650 Lumen) Daylight LED's. What a difference! The picture doesn't do it any justice.
Once I did the main lights in the daylight spectrum, I was forced to upgrade the garage door opener lights as well. All said and done, it cost me $95 but I went from a combined 520 Watts down to just 92 and easily have double the effective light coverage.
The other cool thing is that these bulbs are advertised to last 22+ years so when it comes time to move, I can just unscrew the bulbs and take them with me. No removal or leaving behind of costly fluorescent or LED fixtures.
Once I had done the main lights, and the garage door opener, I was forced to upgrade the spotlight in my Mill as well.
Dropped from a 75 Watt down to a 9 Watt Flood.
It wasn't exactly "dingy" before but it's just so much better now. You can really see how far the garage layout has progressed as well. This pic was taken maybe 2 months ago.
