Just picked up a GP760 today.... Ski was sitting in this guys back yard... Someone knocked on his door and said your house is on fire... Guy looked in his backyard and his jetski was on fire.... Looking at the ski the fire looks like it started at the battery....

Nice motor, ebox, carb, pump.....

Was told it was just sitting on the trailer.... Motor was just rebuilt with new oem crank... Guy had the ski sold

I've washed my hand 5 times & still smell burnt fiberglass, lol

I just pulled the motor apart, crank & case looks great.... Now I got my SS bottom end.... Thrust 850 coming soon

I always keep my Batt disconnected while there at my house... Only ski I leave connected in my SF because the battery is a B*tch to even see it.

Still looks to be just about as fun as any other couch I have seen!

i had one try to incinerate itself a few years ago. i soaked the engine in wd-40 after flushing the ski and closed the garage door. The next day when i went out there i could smell electrical fire odor. After some poking around i found the top of my oddysey all melted and stinking. The wd had shorted out the inline fuse for my bilge pump and almost burnt my shop down! I usually never use wd but it was all i had that day...never again

The inline fuse was where the most damage/melting was. The battery actually survived just the plastic cover on top was melted.
