Where to dispose of premix in SoCal?

Hey all, I'm in OC and I have about 5 gal of old premix that I need to get rid of. Where can I bring this stuff to legally dispose of it? Thanks

I would do that except I don't own a mower and grass doesn't grow here anyways since it never rains. I tried the auto parts stores but since its mixed they wont take it.

I expect to be flogged by treehuggers everywhere for this answer... I pour mine on my neighbors POS tree that keeps blowing through the fence (as well as blowing roots through my sprinkler system)

10 gallons later and that SOB is getting bigger, I'm thinking about using it on my own plants in lieu of Miracle Grow.

I gave about 8 gallons to a dude that lived in his old beater motor home down at Mission bay. He poured it right in and was thankful.

If Your hoopty is carbureted, that's fine, even good for it. Don't suggest doing it to fuel injected engines. Nasty carbon build-up on intake valve stems may result. May cause them to stick.

This is a good caution for EFI vehicles... I had to do a repair on a 2010 vehicle that started out under warranty then flipped customer pay when we found the engine failure was caused by old gas.... It stuck the intake valve like mentioned above, broke the rocker arms and stuck the piston rings... 10k later it was fixed

They were not mixing though just straight old gas

Customer has a farm and was putting gas from their storage tank in the van, expensive lesson for sure

I'll pour old-ish premix in my EFI truck. But the most I've ever added was 3 or four gallons and I'll only do it when my truck's tank is around 3/4 full for max dilution. But the gas is usually not "bad", I just don't trust it in my ski at that point.

Your city should have oil disposal pickup that u can put out with trash cans on pickup day. U may have to request it, but they give u a couple gallon jugs to fill and dispose oil for free. San Mateo county does this at least... If not, places like kragen or oreiley usually have oil disposal on site.

Same problem here in Phoenix. The city will open for disposal 3 times a year. A FREAKING YEAR!!! The wait line is between 1-2hrs. You cannot get out of your vehicle during that time. All containers must be labeled. Drop off only last about 6hrs. Its absurd.

Drop it down your gutter drainage... We all ride 2 strokes here... I don't think any of us are really "Environmentalists" at heart lol.

Exactly what I do. I've been doing this in my truck for 12 years. 190K miles and no issues.
