School me on Pump shoes. There are a couple guys you can buy them from but it seems like all the aluminum cast ones have fitment issues. What are the typical issues with the cast shoes? What’s wrong with the OEM plastic shoe? Or is it AM hulls that are creating the fitment issues? I haven’t done one yet myself just researching which one I should buy.

no real issues.some need to have the 4 holes drilled if you want to use the screws like oem. some hang a little lower or the id is not quite spot on but in general they mostly fit well with minimal grinding if needed.
usually the real problems start when you go up in pump size.

if for 148 then you'll need to check around as some can't be bored out that large.i tried a snowxer(spel.?) and there was not enough meat around the opening to bring it to 148 without weakening it too much.went with a xft and all went well.
some castings differ a little bit from same maker also.i think the blowsion one may go 148 but 155 might be a stretch.

Three hours grinding the outside to fit into the hull and the inside to match a 148 pump in my Foot Rocket, and had to cut a corner off because they put the trim tube in a dumb spot, but once it's in there, I've had zero issues with my Jet Dynamics shoe. Some people like that the plastic shoe will break before other stuff, like the hull, but I don't quite buy that.

I'm putting a 155 currently into a kdx it take some time and u might have to egg out the holes in the wear ring some to get it to sit forward enough

I guess I should have stated im looking at 148 and 155 shoes. So no one has issues?

For 155 aluminum shoes, you only have 1 choice, the jet dynamics one.

For 144 aluminum shoes, you can choose either the jet dynamics or the blowsion. The jet dynamics will take some grinding to make it fit well, but all holes are predrilled to hull and to intake grate. The blowsion is a nicer casting that fits better but you will need to drill all holes. As an engineer you will prefer the blowsion shoe.

We stock all oem and a/m pump shoes:

I took my JD 144 shoe out too 150 with no issues. I'm pretty sure I would have ended up blowing some holes in the plastic shoe if I tried to match the 150.

Why would anyone take a plastic shoe that far? It had to have been paper thin. It's one of my least fav things to do on a hull, would hate to have to do it twice.
