Other Which rules Flatwater or Surf riding ?

My home away from home.
Well, I'm land locked for the most part. So I ride 99% flatwater. But… I have way more fun when the wind serves us up some waves on our small lakes. I've only ridden surf once. For the first 30 minutes I was like, "WTF am I doing out here!?" Total survival mode. Then once back at the ramp washing and loading, I realized that was the :):):):). And I can't wait to ride it again.

Funny thing is, WF and Pismo are both about the same drive for me and I am pushing for Pismo Freeride next year.

I really wish I lived on the coast. Come on Santa! Hook me up!

There was a time when I would ride both, and enjoy both. I define flatwater: no waves. Lake Atlantic.
Through the years I guess I've become a bit of a wave snob. Waiting for the really good days.
So, I'm all about surf. But, mostly because my ski is basically worthless on a lake. (I must admit; the "V" wake thing at Blue's bash was awesome...even on a 701 sj.) My avitar is from that day.
In a perfect world we would all have the perfect toy for each occasion!
So, even though I can't build a great FW ski, I'm thankful to live very near the ocean.
I love watching the flatwater guys do their thing.
We all do what we can!

V-WAKE!!

I ride Flat regularly, and surf monthly. There is no question. Surf is way more fun and involved.

A guy can go spend 25k on a ski, and be flipping and rolling in a day. That's not gonna happen in the surf, at least not the surf I ride.

I am waiting on a am hull. But I'm still going to continue to ride surf, and I'm pretty sure I will still think it is more fun. The amount of air you an et off a wave, with a stock engine, is insane.
