Which superjet should I buy?

I wouldn't worry about the low compression it could be your gage is off by 10 or 15 pounds and that would make it stock which it has a stock head so that is right on the money. And the nose piece I would just put it together and ride it this year. You won't be doing any nose stabs without footholds so ride it for what little summer is left and then repair the nose at the same time you are installing footholds.

Or actually this is a blessing in disguise you can order a new front nose piece that is shaped like a round nose. Then next summer you will have a RN fully loaded with a new high compression head for $2000. I think you got a hell of a deal. I would have bought it even if I had found those problems before.

glad to hear you went with the square:biggthumpup:...I just bought one and I am now awaiting some carbon and epoxy so i can get to work on reinforcement

Where exactly do I get the round nose conversion? I guess I can quite being lazy and just do a search.

Anybody around the St.Louis area want to do some fiberglass work? I have done some fiberglassing in the past, just nothing that really mattered.

Don't know about the conversion piece I have seen pictures of it but don't know where they got them.

EDIT: I was talking about just the front 6 or 8 inches of the nose of the ski... Bottom and top to replace the rubber bumper piece. I don't know where I seen the pictures but it was made of carbon and you just hacked the nose off of your ski (like on a huge band saw) and glasses this one on.

Sounds like a plan! I think I know exactly what you are talking about..saw it the other day.

I have made a bit of progress on it..almost have all the stubborn decals off that someone put on..my floor is littered with the remnants of dead decals every where. Still have some buffing to do to try to remove oxidation.
