Just want to get some opinions from people that have a lot more experience than I do... - I am very new to riding and starting pretty late in life (at 43) but I have a good amount of water sports experience, just not on stand ups. I like this because it's challenging and I don't need anyone else to do it (like someone to pull you on a wakeboard for example) and it's a great workout. So, I bought a FX1 at the end of last summer and have been riding it this summer. I absolutely love riding... I want to keep the FX1 all stock and original, but I would really like wider bars, a shorter pole and more width in the tray. I feel very narrow and tall on my ski. I am also thinking that maybe a backflip should be on my bucket list....
So, my question is this - should I just keep riding the FX1 and continue to get better for a while, or should I maybe look at skis like Krash and Rickter? Oh - I also love to tinker with high performance parts, etc... it kills me to leave the FX1 alone.
All opinions help! Thanks.
