i know send me a price on the dasa pv stock stroke cyl so i can make plans and tell me were to enter the cc# lol
I run SBT trued and welded and replace them every 2 seasons. I haven't blown one yet. I am sure Crankworks are better.
I have blown 3 stockers.
if you ever swamp the motor like that again and absoltluy cannot work on it that day..
flip it upside down and drain as much wateras you can...then fill the ENTIRE motor with premix..
that should buy you a day or 2...
I remeber sinking a ski one time a few years ago at about noon, was supposed to be home by 2 and was an hour away.....my GF just did NOT understand that it had to be worked on that day..we were supposed to go to a wedding or some .....
the engine survived, the relationship didnt
Damn...
If that was a good one, shouda just left the ski at home that day and not took it out at all bud.
If it wasn't.....
In my best country twang...
"Well I am gonna miss her...."

SBT is Junk!
SBT is Junk!
30 Hours with 2006 trued welded cranck and 30 hours ceramic bearings...
Just take a look
Full superstock engine... All is DEAD... Great engine, with good low end response.
Unfortunately I'll stop the money carnage with these High performance engines.
Next step will be light hull with OEM Yam engine, B pipe and an ignition !
To summarize, I don't think that ceramic bearings will give you a better reliability... They won't avoid a crank failure if it have to happen.
How many superjet engines runs >4 years cranks... How much kawis do the same ?
I don't think they are many of them.
Forgot hotrods. OEM crank is fine with stock to limited engines. I think korn's strategy is the righ one on SXR engines... Just change it every two years, whatever state is the crank.
Don't waste money in ceramic bearings.
I you want bulletproff crank, just invest in a crankworks one with good Std bearings.
That's what I think after loosing too much money with superstock settings.
If you want to go High power, just save money and buy the best crank FIRST.
In most engines tuning, crank is the last part we change, and in most of the time it is the weakest part of the engine because you run it since two years or more...
We don't consider replacing this part or going stroker as it is very expensive. But just be objective. A crank failure cost twice the price of a bulletproff crank.
Keep that in mind.
That's right for the life time... As many other parts in superstock engines.I don't think ceramic bearings have any place inside anything but a
full-tilt, no-holds-barred, class racing engine, like super stock. Otherwise the performance gain from ceramic bearings is not is not worth the maintanance required for them to survive.
30 hours on the bearings, just asking for a problem.
Bummer deal, motor failures are good for noone.
