you should also look into the wamiltons setup...it uses 2 rubber straps, is very convinient (and holds the hood extremely well)....seems like ratcheting/unratcheting would be a pain.....

add salt water to the mix....could make things worse.....

just about everybody out here runs them, salt water only, and they've held up great..by far the sturdiest way to hold on the hood. wammers will loosen over time

bought mine from canadian tire, Bass pro shop also does stainless versions.. its a cheaper way to get them than buying the same product at an inflated price because its now for a jet ski

the ratchet strap is great! keeps the hood nice and tight doesn't let water in even with a crappy hood seal. And mine is all salt use.

Rachet Straps $100
Rubber Bungys $5

Forget the Rachet Strap set up Bro go with Rubber Bungys, they work great, believe me I would know, no bodys landed upside down more than me. HA HA and don’t throw your money away on Wamiltons either, get 2- 3' rubber bungys from your local hardware store (were do you think Wamilton buys them????)
