I'm runnin um with a blaster mod pipe and they hit pretty hard on bottom. I'm happy. I'll make you a deal... I'll let you try my ski and I can try your '08. I'll be up at harveys in about 2 weeks.

Sporting a 64X (T timing) 760 Frankenstein motor in my wife's ski that rips.

The difference is noticable in unported form, but once it's ported and set up as a package, most here wouldn't be able to take advantage of the difference, let alone notice it.

i havbeen talking with crab back and forth i have seen the post its a good one. i have a set of ported 62t jugs and i was debating about running them on my 08 with the type 4 or leaving them in the 01 i am building. this is my dilemma.

86mm ported 62T cylinders, they feel really good.

Something to keep in mind: The port roofs are angled in those cylinders. The further you bore them out, the lower the timing gets.
I seem to remember someone saying (don't take this as gospel, please) that @ 85mm bore, the T cylinder has timing close to the X cylinder.

can you bore the stock sleeves to the 85mm or resleeve? and if you have resleeve to get 85 can someone explain that to me? ( iow why are the stock sleeves not good enough and do you take metal out of the cyl to fit a bigger sleeve?) thanks

The concern with going bigger than 85mm on stock sleeves is the thickness of the bottom part of the sleeves. It gets pretty thin.
But, plenty people run stock sleeves at 86mm.

Hey Matt, you think my power I'm getting is the combination of pipe and cylinder, or would a Bpipe with the T cyl. be about the same? IYO:wave:

I am very happy with my Frankenstein setup with B-Pipe.
I've never ran a T cyl with drypipe, so I can't say.

oh yeah-- have run same engine with r&d drypipe w/water injection- had AWESOME topend and speed (id say gained about 5mph over the bpipe), but had to stay on the pipe like you were riding a yz125- or it would get pretty soggy on the bottom

That described my dry pipe experience exactly. It had a hit...bit it was a midrange hit that always seemed to occur too late.

i am thinking about doing something like this. i can easily save my money and have someone build me a motor but i want to do it myself. so i am figuring out whats going to be the best frankenstien motor basically.

option 1: 61x resleeved for big bore, port it myself
option 2: 760 jugs (64u?) ported.
option 3:?

will be running dry pipe. dont care for real high top end. just all arund power that i can launch on my set up wake, chase down the boats, and jump the wakes.
