i am thinking about doing something like this. i can easily save my money and have someone build me a motor but i want to do it myself. so i am figuring out whats going to be the best frankenstien motor basically.

option 1: 61x resleeved for big bore, port it myself
option 2: 760 jugs (64u?) ported.
option 3:?

will be running dry pipe. dont care for real high top end. just all arund power that i can launch on my set up wake, chase down the boats, and jump the wakes.

What's your budget?
I think if you're building it yourself, stick with T/64U cylinders and build a nice reli1able Frankenstein.
Mine is a 64U, homeported, on homeported 61X cases, lightened OEM flywheel, OEM electrics, stock head, stock compression, stock bore, and Retail 46 Mikuni, plus a B limited pipe.
Rips.

I would probably start by selling that dry pipe and going to a B-pipe then worry about the cylinder. In my opinion my bottom end ported 61x hit alot harder than the mildly ported 760 cylinder.

my budget is pretty flexible, all cases are 61x? is there 62t cases? just so i get the right ones the first time. thanks matt

No. the x cyls have lower port timing and if you have it bottom end ported, nothing is going to hit harder then them, esp "mild' ported t cyls that we all already know make the power middle and top over the x.

I am running 62t at 85.5 mm with 61 x cases, Riva Powerbomb 48, and a B Pipe and it makes awsome power

did you put big bore sleeves in? or just bore the stick sleeves to 85.5? thanks

Only the 701 62t has the thing sleeves at the bottom

you mean get thin? so 64u would be better, and are the same port timing as 62t from the factory correct?

because only 61x cylinders are good for freestyle.

the 62t port timing is ALL WRONG to make good power.

We got four people saying that they love thier 62t's ported or not ported. or at least they think that they are pretty decent. and your saying they suck, didnt even state why you feel this way

6M6 cylinders have much better porting for low end, plus the small piston size makes for a quick reving freestyle setup.
