will gas prices effect how often you ride this year?

Gas prices don't effect much of anything for me. I buy the same amount of gas. I have several other factors that will effect me a lot, like moving out and Paramedic school, but gas... not so much. I'm not as wasteful with it anymore (I.e am bored and go driving arround) but I haven't changed my routines.

I am switching to 87...even if I have to drop my compression down. The last 8 years have SUCKED for gas prices....while the Oil companies make record profits......we get screwed. :moon:

What sucks is they are getting away with it. Supply and demand says demand is down, supply is up, charge more. But fuel is increadibly inelastic, and they shouldn't get the extras. I say the govt takes the extra money to find alternitive fuel sources or something. But putting the money in the Oil tycoons pocket is BS.

To the lake and back I use approx. 1.5g of Diesel. At 4$ a gallon that's $12 to get to the lake and home, split that with whoever rides along. 5g each ride x 4$ for gas is $20. So around $25 a time.

We averaged 3 days a week last summer, so it adds up quick... but it's cheaper than driving 2 hours, and then four wheeling so it's about right :)

After feeding this thirsty one for several years at 60 gallons/fill up, (which translates to 2 to 6 hours of fun, depending on speed) filling up the Kawi is a joke.
