Super Jet Will taking the choke butterflys out of the stock 38's require a rejet?

Not recommended to do this per Chucky at XS, do a search on it....fyi

Also, not worth the very little gain was the consensus of others on here as I recall...

I want to say it will only alter the popoff slightly? Not too sure, have to wait for someone else to chime in.

You might need to decrease the pop-off slightly if you find out it is hesitating (lean) when applying throttle...this is common when swapping the stock air intake (with restrictive screens) to aftermarket flame arrestors. It makes the intake more free flowing, which decreases the pressure in the intake manifold, which affects the ideal pop-off setting. Removing the choke butterflys kind of does the same thing in that it makes the intake more free flowing, but to a lesser extent.

Try it like it is, but keep that in mind just in case...

yes stock pop off is like 55 with chokes and stock FA. if you are running no chokes and stock FA try 30 psi. if you are running no chokes and aftermarket FA try 20-25 psi and likely can rejet 2-5 up
