I drove up a couple years ago on the last Sunday and saw the vintage and freestyle finals, walked through the vendor alley and vintage museum went to a restaurant nearby for lunch and too catch the Texans game. Walked back in the afternoon and caught the freestyle finals and drove home around 3pm.

If you are not bringing a ski you will make it through the entire event in less then a day. If you are bringing a ski you can ride at Body Beach with most of the competitors in the evenings. Most go over there to throw back some beers and flips. A fair number of people will let you try their hulls, you just have to ask and be friendly with them.

Monday after Finals is the big day to ride and try hulls.

The beginning of the week will be pretty dead, everything happens the last weekend of the event really.

This will be my first year and finals couldn't come soon enough. I'm pumped to go for all aspects of the finals experience. There will be a group of seven of us South Dakota boys heading down. all first timers. can't wait

this is just the case,I went out early last yr and was just hot and bored outa my mind till saturday. The party at kokomos is pretty lame untill the weekend also. unless you really enjoy racing,do your self a favor and stay in vegas for a couple days where the real party is then head to finals for the weekend. There are some good deals on parts, but dont expect to find a deal on skis, everything i saw was priced way higher than normal, all the big shots are lookin to cash in on the guys there from the sandy countries...lol.
If i went again id fly out there late fri, stay the weekend in Az,go to vegas for the following weekdays and go out to west coast for the surf slam event the weekend after finals.....
