I watched some of the live feed today and I have to say Mike Young and that chic he always announces with seem super out of touch with the race scene & jetski's in general. He was great back in the day but he's gotten worse each year it seems. Time for the IJSBA to bring in some new blood.

To you donkeys complaining about the announcing, feel free to fly out there and do better. Dawn Dawson and Mike Young are up there talking 12hrs a day keeping track of hundreds of racers from all over the world racing multiple classes and freestyle guys on equipment that changes yearly, where they see the guys for 2min and are only armed with only the info provided to them on the signup sheets which probably isn't even given to them up to date. And they are expected to call every new trick, variant and your mums uncle to please you clowns? Get real this isn't the nfl. Watch the xgames and see how they handle very popular sports that have a following the announcing isn't much better. Unless they get someone from am freestyle to step in like stoyer does on am day then id hope you all chill out and watch it for what it is and cut these guys some slack, they aren't full time, this sport is niche and they announce it at this level a few time a year at best. Farfennugens.

I have been steaming since yesterday. You said pretty much what I thought. I will add, they do this for 6 straight days. NFL commentators do it for 3-4 hours a week. Not for over 72 hours in a weeks time. There is only so much to talk about. As for the comments about they should be interviewing racers. They have. They also talked to whoever would come up to the tower. I could have sworn I heard Clayton Jacobson being interviewed. Scott Watkins was up there.

From a racers stand point. The last think a racer wants to fool with is having to leave your pit and go to the tower. You are too busy to want to deal with that. Mac was racing in 2 classes yesterday. Wait, or was it 3 classes. You may be out there all day but when you race more than 1 class. The time between motos can be short and stressful. I have watched racers literally have to do complete motor swaps between heats. Think they had time to go BS.

STEP UP OR SHUT UP.

Why don't they take a damn break instead of blurting out whatever crap they can think of at the time? Hours of awkward pauses followed by "I CAAAANT HEEEAARR YOU HAVASU" At one point the girl was talking about fondling over a PA system. Oh and she was down at the beach sticking microphones in guys faces while they try to catch their breath and celebrate with their families.

Lighten up, no ones dog's been shot. Just razzing on the terrible commentary.

I'm just happy to watch it live, thanks Surfrat! Even-though the night footage was slow, it was cool to be a part of the viewing crowd. I've never seen night riding, it makes me want to see it live even more. It's also cool to get a small perspective for what to expect if I was to make a trip out to the finals. This forum makes it even possible for me to find the link to even watch the stream. Thanks for giving us the tools to be a part of an epic week.

AGREED. Hell if I get tired of the talk I just turn the sound off and watch the video with my own preferred music playing... I would be there if it were not such a large output of cash and time. I think it is great to see the performances of the amateur and pro freestylers. Had to leave pro freestyle yesterday afternoon part way through but I DID get to see Lee Stone and I sill feel shivers up and down my spine when I think of all of the tricks FLAWLESSLY AND CONTINUOUSLY PERFORMED on flat water I missed the rest of the performances and the night ones under the London Bridge. IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF THESE WERE AVAILABLE TO WATCH AFTER-THE-FACT. SO much talent so fast. AND so exciting to see... CONGRATULATIONS to all of the cast and crew that made all of this possible. DAM FINE JOB! And thanks again! AND SOOO very great to have met Chris Anyzeski at Angola and might get my shot of him into the coming ProRIder... having seen and talked to him made me cheer all the louder for him at the computer when he delivered. Just wish he could have heard it.... THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR AN AMAZING SHOW!

Pro freestyle finals is on in a few minutes. GREAT! :)
Im at work offshore, 1 week left, off duty in my bed with my mac and iPad and streaming world finals (and last episode at all in breaking bad on my mac). Aaaannnd im waiting for my new Backie Chan carbon kevlar hull. Im actually feeling pretty good :) (even though my heater at home broke down before i headed to work, and need to replace that 8000 usd)
