So what happened to the double flip so many were predicting?
3. The little bit I did see was boring. So now it's not just flip after flip but also helicopter/flatspin after flatspin. Yay.
1. I didn't watch, so I really don't know (but figured I would have seen someone here post about it if it had happened)
2. The double flip prediction has been around for a couple years now.

Hmm I thought the superflip might have gave Lee the win. Pretty awesome riding all around.
Did Lee have something that locks his pole in position to accomplish that superflip? I saw him do somthing under the pole before and after the flip. His run was awesome.
I have been steaming since yesterday. You said pretty much what I thought. I will add, they do this for 6 straight days. NFL commentators do it for 3-4 hours a week. Not for over 72 hours in a weeks time. There is only so much to talk about. As for the comments about they should be interviewing racers. They have. They also talked to whoever would come up to the tower. I could have sworn I heard Clayton Jacobson being interviewed. Scott Watkins was up there.
From a racers stand point. The last think a racer wants to fool with is having to leave your pit and go to the tower. You are too busy to want to deal with that. Mac was racing in 2 classes yesterday. Wait, or was it 3 classes. You may be out there all day but when you race more than 1 class. The time between motos can be short and stressful. I have watched racers literally have to do complete motor swaps between heats. Think they had time to go BS.
STEP UP OR SHUT UP.
yeah, i havent seen what exactly it is in any pics up close, but its about halfway down the pole (not very far on a 15" pole, i know) he locks it down somehow, i believe kahuna is right, just a short cable he hooks up then flips out the superflip bars. it is innovative, and surprising that his superflips and scarecrows didnt give him an advantage over the flip'n flat spin show. They have the superflip bars that spin out to lock your wrist, and I believe he uses a snort teather to lock the pole down.
Lee is not using a teather, he has a system he designed himself, he just removes a cap, pushes the pole down and it locks into place. To release he simply pulls a lever.
Chris.
Come you really think Mikey is as good as he use to be?
To me he sounds like he is clueless about a lot of what is going on and they need to get some pro freestyle guys to announce for am and am to help announce for pro freestyle.
Him and that chic just sounds like clowns announcing.
