Im hope the announcers have nothing to do with the judging. They flat out suck.

Lots of "450"s and I don't think any of them knew what a barrel roll is. Stoyer needs to announce both days. Put a mic on him when he rides

The judging and announcing is terrible. The judges have no rubric. It's like being at a monster truck freestyle, if Grave Digger can go the whole time given the fans give him the win.

Not sure online but in person announcers are kinda bad too. The easy tricks they know but I remember them calling a flex flip and scarecrow and a hand full of other ones. I think the judges just tune them out.
Better question is stone vs Johnston K. Trick count or difficulty. Its not easy to go for a long period of time, then again with these motors it helps. Those big flips and one hander/leggers take more than just motor. The first round I thought stone won off politics, the second round just got boring to see a high trick count and low difficulty. IMO round one trick count, round two showmanship and difficulty, round three both and something you haven't shown yet...

Again nobody knows a scoring rubric. Maybe the judges like when someone spends 30 seconds looking for the short setting on their limiter rope. Iceman and the Freestyle Tour have a great scoring matrix they use. ISJBA needs to quit being dumb and make one.

All I have to say is the crowd sucks. This was my first time out here and I was amazed at how no one cheers like they would at any other sporting event. I feel bad for all of the competitors giving it their all and (with a very select few exceptions) no one cheers.
Nice work to all of the athletes. In person it's so much more impressive. I was in awe.
I would like to learn more about how the scoring works. Does anyone have an official set of criteria or something that they go by?

Yamamoto had same type setup. Gomez had a cable also but may have been to lock the pole down
