Ya, very similar setup, I don't know what the deal with mine is... If anyone lives up in the California high desert and has knowledge to spot my problem let me know... I think I'm gonna pull the pump and pump shoe and reinstall a new aluminum blowsion shoe. The stock one from Eme sat high and I had to grind it down to match the wear ring, maybe its just too high to seal right? Idk but my 550 feeling bottom sucks. Could it be the way Eme extended the intake that's causing my issues?

Does anyone think the issue is from the extended intake? All Eme did was weld a 2" flat piece of aluminum to the pump side of the intake grate to extend it, so now the beveled portion of the intake grate, that normally sits against the pump, sits 2" forward. There is more metal in the way of the pump now, would this affect anything?

Will try it with the grate out. Talked to Eric at Eme, he says get more water to the water box with the PFP, the ditch the carbs for stockers. I may jet these down first a little and try that...
