650/X-2 X-2- 701 (on a budget) build

starting a 701 build on an old x-2 that i had lying around-- the goal is to spend as little as possible and use what i have lying around
lucky for me thats alot of random parts.
i have a completely stock 61x/62t that is going in from an 04 RN I also have electronics, start/stop, carbs etc...
also have a tdr water box, and a minature gas tank
so far my list of things to buy is
-new mounting plates
-new exhaust outlet
-pto coupler
- b pipe
A few thing are still up in the air such as pump set up and exhaust plumbing

carbon fiber bottom hummm....very cool keep the pics coming I want to see this come to life.

budget build but wrapping the bottom in carbon lol. You should be able to run the stock tank with a b pipe, sj mod chamber or sj 650 chamber would probably fit the best.

its a budget build, not budget quality!--- mostly

It seems like putting in a 144 pump would be pretty straight forward- I just need a new drive shaft I believe; it also would allow me cut about -5 off the back

I think briefly- I was out of the building part of the sport for awhile-- i was just riding-- all my tools got stolen and it has taken me two years to get back up to par-- buying a new house and completely remodeling the garage didnt help my time window either.

sooo I BUTCHeREd a superjet tonight........
I have been contemplating the pump issue for a couple days now and I came to a conclusion. I should just go all the way and make a yamasaki XJ-2
bed plate hull mid shaft and pump cavity all out of an old square nose

Pump is the biggest down side on the X2. Yami pump is a huge upgrade, but a Kawi motor still makes more power.

like GTO said... SJ 650 chamber fits really well... def not anywhere near as large as blaster chamber
