X-metal waterbox

show the clip is it much louder in a kawi than on a yami
id like a throatier or loud ski
but on my lake it draws too much attention from the rangers and then it costs me money
if i were in surf id have it but ill keep mine to dual with a stock box

I've been riding around 16 years now, I've never had a loud ski. Even when I had my 550 with right front side exhaust and a Jetcraft Turbomuff which you can run dry for racing purposes, I kept a lot of water in it and it was super mellow/quiet but still a ton of power/response due to it's design (which was better than the xmetal design).

I was on the pier filming when you or someone on a SXR came in from the flatwater clinic, you should have seen/heard the people talking about that ski and how loud it was, and it was not favorable. It was embarassing for me to be there filming it. Have you seen the clip?

well i am sorry you were sooo embarrassed for me, only can i give you my sincerest deepest apology for embarrassing you in such a terrible way. (sarcasm intended)

pats ski was loud, so was the WCF ski, and also the trinity ski, obviously they are full competition boats, BUT they were riding the same place i was. why did you not single them out? why are you not embarrassed by them? sure they were throwing rolls and stuff, and i was just tuning my ski, but they were still riding a LOUD jet ski on public waters.

honestly i am done here, to each his own, where i ride people are not bothered by noise, if people were, my ski would not be so loud. (i am not a total dick like some think) i know most of the people on my lake and they also run loud skis...

its the outsiders who come in that mind, people from jersey and new york (no offense to the jersey and new york folk) come in and think they run they place. they rip around the lake with no direction, and there are so many of them its dangerous on the weekends when they are there, so by my ski being loud maybe it wil drive them away..........

The time will come when everyone jokes on all the superjet X-Metal waterbox users just like we all(including the XMetal fans) do now with ANY other boat/waterbox. It's a fad and if almost anyone else marketed it, no one would buy it. Pat's cool and does backflips. That equals cool. IMO it's a solution looking for a problem.

oh and for the record, i have a TDR waterbox with front exhaust mostly for the weight savings, plus it cleans up the inside of my boat alot. i knew it would make it louder, but i was mainly for teh savings of weight.....some of us start out our lives at a 60 lb or so disadvantage, and we all know weight is free horsepower.

If it is hooked up right, and enough water in the pipe...
It is a little louder than stock...

Dont be calling People Liars unless they are... :censored:

Actually, Pat has lied to me before ( I won't go into it)

I will do a decibel level on a bunch of different skis...
Just for you BOSS !

I am not worried about it now I already got rid of mine. I know how loud it was. I can't think of anybody even other standup riders that have rode with me that thought my exhaust sounded good. But it would be an interesting test.

I like riding loud skis, but i do not like listening to my buddies ride loud skis when I'm on the beach. I keep mine on the DL.

My ski, with XMW box, B-pipe, Jetworks valve and dual exhaust was pain-in-the-ass, put you in federal-pound-me-in-the-ass prison loud.

It was so loud that Crab knew where I was at in 12 ft surf without being able to see me.

Yes, it's no surprise that you as the rider like it. Farck, I like the loud sound on mine too.

Ask other people around you what they think.

I just have not figured out what is so great about this product.

the benefit of this product is:
1. lighter than stock
2. front/dual exhaust ready..no welding, no "extra" parts needed..
3. adds a deeper, although slightly louder than stock sound when plumbed properly

I ran a TDR front exhaust only and there is NOTHING louder...we did a test of my boat vs. crackers front only XMW and you coudnt even hear the XMW over the TDR at idle...
in the ocean it makes ZERO difference...in bays or lakes it can make the difference between being left alone, or being a target..granted, like you say..there are going to be some places where it makes no difference one way or the other

thats EXACTLY what my crew always said when I ran the TDR....

KX's ski has some volume, but no more than Pats, Steves or the Trinity boat. Bob's a good mellow guy...but likes to fire up you blue bloods online.

:scratchchin:Weren't we all just in Daytona getting along..??.:Banane36::AR15firing:
