What Terry not done with a build? Oh man maybe I should give him a hard time. Or call his boss and see if his boss will cut him some slack so he can get it done.

I have been piddling with it off and on when I have free time.nothing that is worthy of posting pics of just yet,Motor is installed and I have been glassing up the holes I had to cut into the hull to get it to fit, large 3 inch holes cut with a hole saw, shes a tight fit but that the way I like em.

Broke out the body saw today and went to town on it,its now officially a flat deck, all the cables and cooling lines have been removed as they will all have to be relocated to make this work properly.I plan on running a 1/2 water line through the old trim cable location and the fitting has been drilled out to 1/2 inch diameter,I may run a bilge line through the steering cable location also.Steering and trim cables will be moved to the right side and the whole trim setup flipped over 180 degrees.I still have to chop off the back about 2 1/2 inches but I will do that after I get the sides glassed back up.Here are A few rough pics of what it is going to look like, enjoy.:headbang:

Use a waveraider hood hinge for your front hinge that will give you the curved hinge I was talking about then it will open enough. That was what I was going to do on johnson's polaris based x-2

I have the plug pretty close to the shape it will end up at.The part that hangs off the back is my air intake.I chose to integrate the trim piece into the back of the hood ,the steering will now bolt to that, since I have height adjustability in my steering systems the added height will not be a problem. That also allows me to put the steering further back on the ski which I deem to be a good thing. I also put the wood inside the plug for bracing, lots of tweaking with screws and 1x2's to get it to fit just right.Next comes my favorite part, lots and lots of Bondo and sanding, then priming and sanding ,then sanding and buffing ETC ETC

Lots of work done on this lately, I will let the pics do most of the talking, engine mounted to stock pads using a set of Superjet mounts and a modified 787 rear engine bedplate.

I'm glad this is coming along. I hope to see one a reality soon. Mine was coming along nicely, but I had to put it on hold to prep for Daytona. Now I need to get a ski built for Lisa. Hopefully I can have mine done soon. Cool that you are using a 951. Very interested. Hope it works out.

I don't watch PWCtoday very much. Just too much to keep up with. I hope you keep posting here, at least the pictures. I want to do a pump tunnel swap too. The 951 is awesome but I was planning on running everything Yamaha. I was thinking a GP800 or GP1200 motor for mine. Not sure. The 1200 might be more project than I can handle.
