for $1400, the rated best hood for freestyle is the 24-7 hood... which is on my wishlist when i get a good paying job or hit the lotto, but thats not gonna happen since i dont buy tickets or play

That price is for a visual X7carbon hood. The X4 kit is right at $1000 and includes hoodseal, billet bracket, billet hood hooks(both sides)and nosepiece. The X7 kit comes down in price a good bit if you don't want clear carbon. Mine is NICE!!! It has an extra lip on the inside of the hood to prevent it from being knocked off on a side landing. The quality of some of the other hand laid or chopped brands I've seen is pretty hit or miss. 24/7,Wammer, and Blowsion are the only others I'd consider until Trinity actually has one for sale.

indeed 24-7 got a new owner, however i havent seen anyhting bad about the new guy thats worth not doing bussiness with him...

i like my wdk hood and nose piece... work great... looks great... and it light and strong. i think I am one of the few that had a pretty straight forward experience with Jeff. and the price is significantly less... so it may take a while to get it, but you'll be spending way less.

I will be releasing our new freestyle hood on 8/8/07. I have been working on the new design for about three months now, and it will not disappoint. It is made entirely of pre preg materials. The look of the hood is very appealing to the eye, and did mention light weight. The "Diablo" hood will be extinct after the new hood comes out. And the price will be where it should be. I will release more info soon.
As for choosing between the Wamiltons and XFT, they are both great hoods and you will not go wrong with either one. Just my 2 cents.

I like the look ,fit & finish and quality of the XFT hoods - top notch.

However, those big tits for air intakes in the tray would bug me. Look great to bang your knees/shins on.

I like the look of the WDK hood. Nice, clean, simple lines. Fit & finish looked great.

havent seen anything bad about the new 24 7?
my mate bought 2 hoods off him, payed the money and hasnt heard from him since. he now has an empty wallet and no hoods. he has rang and emailed a thousand times
dont deal with them until they prove themselves
