Other Xmetal 1400

yrs back the thought of a double in motox wasnt possible either, motox bikes have always been crazy powerful for long time, skis in comparison to motorcycles have always sucked in terms of power to weight,by the nature of transmission, sprockets and wheels vs pumps, well until recently anyway.surprised its taken this long really considering its all old tech just being applied to something different.... Skis and motors are changin radical every yr,shorter, lighter, more rocker, bigger pumps, more cc,on and on...its comin soon

With a clear understanding of trim pull vs no trim pull in terms of height and rotation speed, I can't believe nobody has done it. We've all seen stoyer nearly 20+ feet up, off his own wake (no trim). If he hit that wake the same way with the trim pulled, and threw some body language in to it, c'mon........the ski has to go in two complete circles.

Yup, I get that, but with the velocity that these guys ride with, it seems that even with the height they will lose with pulling the trim, they will still be higher than most of us can get. Add the fast spin that trim adds, plus knowing how to manipulate the ski, they have got to be able to make it happen.

It's super Amateur Hour when I'm riding, but if I hit the setup wake half way decent, and pull the trim, I'm on my back. I'm just saying that someone who does it for a living, can likely get that second rotation around.

There's a short clip of tricky riding one. You'd have to follow wakerider on Instagram. Other than that, I haven't seen anything. I think the people who may have gotten one are still testing probably.

And that is why this "Sport" is dying from a Competition Standpoint.

Something you and I agree on 100%!!! Could I cut back on other toys and keep on spending on the ski? Sure I could. Would it be fair to Cheryl for me to tie up all of OUR $ in my toy and leave here with nothing? Hell no it wouldn't!!! When you got me into competing, 10-12K had you on a competitive AM class ski. Now 10-12 K don't even get you started in AM class and it takes 30K+ to be competitive in PRO. I'm glad there are people that can afford it and can keep the builders / vendors in business, but I'm just not willing to burn any more $ at this point in my life. We will see how I feel next spring. LOL The good news is-IMO-vendors in the world of jet skis suck at customer service and making good on their promises!!! Guess what? It's the same crap in the world of UTVs!!! It makes me sooo dam mad that I can't see straight-in the car business I have to get it right every time with every customer and maybe they come back while the rest of the retail world can suck azz and get away with it!!!

It depends on the product. If I'm buying bow eyes I can be choosy with who I want my money to go to. It will be the company with good customer service every time. If Im in the the market for a brand new factory pipe, I have to deal with the sh!tty customer service at FPP and there's no real way to get around that. Companies that have no competition get away with horrible customer service.

I think Torr missed the whole point of Gils post, it really had nothing to do with customer service, Gil has gotten heavily into UTV's and made the comment that Customer Service was pretty bad also...... This is true with anything in this life. Gil point was that competition is not gotten way too expensive. I agree.

tshark, that has been true of jetski pipes for some time, but that is about to change, just as it has with many other products that have recently been hit with far more competition.

There is absolutely nothing better in any market than competition to grow the market and technology, bring prices back to realistic ranges, and benefit all consumers in the market

bk,i did get the just of the point he was making,i was making my own point..things are changin give it some time

I don't see the market changing really. Extreme power sports like ours are always expensive. Plus ours are jet skis. Anything on the water is expensive. Unless someone new comes out with a pipe that performs that's less expensive, there's no need for the only people making pipes worth a :):):):) to drop prices.

Well, to be fair there is competition for FPP. The Nynja pipe came out this year, and it definitely isn't cheaper but hopefully their customer service is better.

Xscream jointed with powerfactor products in making pipes, prices stay the same :(

Well - I think the statement said that XS would be making the chamber. Guess who that leaves for the manifold.
