YAMACAT'S ANKLE......Youch!

Hi Ho Silver!

Shortly after noon Saturday my wife ( a.k.a YAMACAT) had the misfortune of breaking both the tib and fib in her r. ankle while "following" the Delta Queen. She was/ is being a real trooper about the whole episode. She had surgery and got some new hardware and is recovering as well as can be expected.

Thanks to all you locals that have shown support.

She has a few transactions going down on here and has expressed concern about getting the parts shipped and tending private messages involving parts.

Oh, and BK......... she is afraid you'll steal the motor out of her ski since yours is all jacked up. :naughty::laugh:

Ouch, and I hope you have a quick full recovery.

Oh, and chicks with scars are cool, at least Gil said so.

Get well soon Barb, sorry to hear about your accident and get well soon. It would have sounded better if the story had been that you broke your ankle while chasing Jarod and kicking him in the butt:clown:

Oh crap! Sorry to hear that Barb - I'm glad I couldn't make it now: maybe the jinx has crossed over to you? I have to tell you though, my broken leg healed much faster than my jacked up shoulder - you'll be back on the water faster than you think.

sorry to hear that. i have two plates and 9 screws in my left ankle and it freaking sux. my surgeon was the head of orthopedic surgery at u of m hosp in ann arbor so i know he did a good job. my ankle has about 80degrees of movement vertically and about 85% laterally. i highly recommend paying attention in P/T and keep up the exercises. eventually the metal should come out because you will feel it a lot. keep your head up though.
