Ouch. Foot and ankle injuries are the worst. I've had 1 broken leg, 1 broken foot, 2 severly sprained ankles, 1 broken arm plus aortic heart valve transplant surgery and shoulder surgery. Go me:bigok:

Really the worst of course was heart surgery but the ankle/foot issues were certainly no fun at all and still cause problems several years later!

Stay focused with PT!

Good luck.

It's been three weeks since my injury and I finally posting pictures. I not sure if the this worthy of Parrdaddy's Ankle Cracker Platinum Membership but me it is worth at least a Gold or Silver.
The Doctor says all the hardware is permanent with exception of the one screw that will be removed later. I have three more weeks in a boot non-weight baring and then I get a brace an physical therapy. I'm just happy to get the hard cast off.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and support!

I ment the phone, arnt those the same pics you sent me yesturday???

Nope.. The ones on the phone are from the day of the accident and the day they removed the stitches. The pictures I posted are from yesterday off the digital camera. I'm still clueless how to work the phone.

I guess this ends my ballet career

I'm might be able to make nationals if I can get a chauffeur and an All-Terrain Walker. LOL No riding though.

Jarrod just took me to the DMV to get my temporary Handicap Hang Tag. I think he was more entertained with than I was.

Thank you, I will pass the complement along. I was fortunate that he was the Orthopedic Surgeon working that weekend. I injured Saturday afternoon and had my Surgery Sunday Morning. Bones feel so much better when they are in the correct location.

:cheer::cheer::cheer: Three to Four Weeks and should be back to normal activity :cheer::cheer::cheer: Saw the Doctor Today. I shed the crutches and the boot. I will need to wear a brace and attend physical therapy for awhile. I walk a little like a B Horror Movie Goon, but I don't have to have crutches. I'm thrilled. One more month I will be back in the water. Yippee!!!

Yay!! Gald to hear you're getting better. Stick to that physical torture though - it really helps. :cat37:
