Yami conversion plate interest thread

What I need to know is this . How many people would be interested in an aluminum conversion bedplate for a Yami conversion into an X2,SX,SC,TS,SXI,SXR,JETMATE whatever ? Any input would be appreciated but,for the sake of the person who needs to see this thread keep it clean ,simple and easy to read and above all,

yes i would i have a complete sn with factory pipe, i will know in two weeks when i try x2 in water if i fall in love with x2, then, i am in big trouble, yes as long as someone does all the engineering for me

This would be a complete setup to install a 701-760,possibly even including a coupler.I have been in communication with John@ Jetskihaven he is very interested,If things go as planned I should be recieving some materials to work with. I am pretty sure this can happen if the interest is there,I personally am not looking for financial gain and have no interest in running a Yami engine,its just my way of returning just a bit of what the sport has given to me over the years,call it pimping the sport X2 STYLE.

id be down for a few of them depending on price. theres a guy on pwct that 'said' he makes them. i told him i wanted a few and we PMed a few times then i never heard from him again.

he said that the area of the case that hits the bedplate needs to be ground down.

I would buy an x2 if I could easily use a 701 in it. The conversion plate would have to be reasonably priced though. Like $300 or less....

John says these are cut on a CNC machine so they possibly could be machined to clear the cases as well,I will have to look at it when I have one in my hand to see which way it has to go.I have been messing around with the steel bedplate so far,it will be so much easier just to mod a blank of an aluminum plate and be done with it as there may be some difference because of material thickness.Obviously there is plenty of material on that boss that can be machined off if necessary.I remeber that THUNDERCAT guy was selling modded steel bedplates for around $200.00.That might have been a good deal for someone though I am not sure exactly who.

I won't be selling them Shawn, John at Jetskihaven will ,that is if this all works out as planned.I will keep you posted on the progress fo sho.I'm just basically a redneck who can fabricate stuff and make it work,I'll leave the manufacturing to someone who has the equipment and is setup to do this type of stuff.

I don't understand why these aren't out yet anyway. It seems like a simple enough thing to do. Bed plate and coupler kit. Bolt it in...

I think it's going to be a "build it and they will come" situation.
