I would suggest installing a small test tank in the back yard. Also make one side a “clean” side with very few things in it and have them on rollers so you can move them out easily when it’s time to spray paint. IMO, there are 3 things that make a good garage for working in. Tool chest, air compressor, and work bench....in that order. Everything else is built to accommodate something else but those 3 are essential if you want a smooth operating work space. Shelves and storage are all secondary and come when you need extra floor space.

I shopped for a big rolling toolbox for several years and always refused to spend $1500-$3000 on one. I was walking thru sears one day and found the big black craftsman rollaway that is now in my garage, marked down to $499 from $999. I would have bought a couple that day if they had them.

yup prep it good and it will last. I am hard on my floors and still cant get it to chip.

I bought the Rustoleum kit from Home Depot. I've heard mixed reviews but I figure the people who've had issues with it probably didnt take enough time to prep it right.

wow dude i dream of having a house like that on the lake.

steel workbench is key, if you have a wood one, oil soaks into it and then dirt and crud sticks to it. A cheap pice of carpet from home depot under your toolbox/workbench is nice too

Just put in a garage door in the back of my garage making it a pull through. I'm gonna put a slab out back with some tool sheds, drywall the garage, put in a bar with a tv on the wall, do the epoxy coating on the floor, redo my workbench it's gonna bitchen.

That's pretty sweet. I was going to do that to one of my snowmobile sheds but didn't like the idea of an way into my shed that I couldn't see from the house.

your gonna put shelves over the work bench so lights over the work bench so your not squinting and guessing while working on small things
